Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. excellent in slip properties, abrasion resistance, and scratch resistance by dispersing secondary particles consisting of cerium oxide particles and ineret inorg. particles together with specific polymer particles in a thermoplastic polyester. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises secondary particles consisting of cerium oxide particles with a mean diameter of 0.0005-0.10mum and inert inorg. particles with a mean diameter of 0.001-1.0mum and having a mean secondary particle diameter D satisfying formula I and an agglomeration ratio r satisfying formula II, divinylbenzene-ethylvinylbenzene copolymer particles with a mean diameter of 0.01-5mum, and a thermoplastic polyester. In formula I, D1 is a mean diameter (mum) of the oxide particles and D2 is a mean diameter (mum) of the inorg. particles. In formula II, r is V/(V1+V2) wherein V1 is a calculated vol. of the oxide particles contained per unit vol. of the polyester calculated using a value obtd. by dividing the wt. added by the density of the oxide particles; V2 is a calculated vol. of the inorg. particles contained per unit vol. of the polyester calculated using a value obtd. by dividing the wt. added by the density of the inorg. particles; and V is the vol. of the secondary particles.
