Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the elastomer containing specific bonds in the hard segment, excellent in heat resistance, abrasion resistance, elastic modulus and moldability, and useful for packings used in oily cylinders, architectural machines, etc., for belts used in drying machines, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This elastomer comprises (A) a soft segment comprising a polymeric polyol and (B) a hard segment comprising a polyisocyanate and having imide bonds or both imide bonds and amide. The component B in the objective elastomer has parts presented by the structural formulas of formulas I, II, III (X is single bond, -O-, -NH-, -CH2-, -CO-, etc.,), and IV.
