Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for causing neither jamming or biting failures at a feed part to an extruder, when scaly glass granules made by granulating scaly glass are blended and prepared with a thermoplastic resin, and for reducing the troubles of the feed to the extruder and for dispersing the scaly glass in the thermoplastic resin homogeneously thereby to improve the strength of the thermoplastic resin molding reinforced by the scaly glass.SOLUTION: Scaly glass granules are covered with a granular agent containing a surface active agent, a resin and a silane coupling agent. The resin is an epoxy resin and/or an urethane resin, 1.5 to 16 mass% of the surface active agent with reference to the granular agent in terms of solid content is included, and the mass of the coating of the granular agent is 0.1 to 2 mass% with reference to the entirety of the scaly glass granules.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
