PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition for fabrication, excellent in molding processability, fabricating properties such as coating or plating and impact and heat resistances and useful for interior and exterior automotive trim parts, etc., by blending a rubber-modified styrenic resin with a specific polyorganosiloxane-based thermoplastic resin in a specified proportion.
CONSTITUTION: This resin composition is obtained by blending (A) 70-99 pts.wt. rubber-modified styrenic resin with (B) 1-30 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane-based thermoplastic resin prepared by carrying out the graft copolymerization of one or more vinyl monomers such as styrene in the presence of a (modified) polyorganosiloxane obtained by condensing (i) 90-100wt.% organosiloxane having a structural unit of the formula [R1 is a (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon; (n) is 0-3] with (ii) 0-10wt.% graft cross-linking agent such as p-vinylphenylmethyldimethoxysilane.
