PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition which can give a molding reduced in the anisotropy of mechanical performance and molding shrinkage and improved in mechanical and thermal performances by mixing thermoplastic resin pellets containing a micaceous filler with thermoplastic pellets containing a fibrous filler.
CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic pellets containing a micaceous filler having a weight-average aspect ratio of 10 or above and a weight-average flake diameter of 20-300μm are mixed with thermoplastic resin pellets containing a fibrous filler having a weight-average length as determined from the equation of 3mm or above and an average fiber diameter of 5-30μm in such amounts as to satisfy the relationships: 3≤Va+Vb≤30, Va/Vb>1, and Vb≥0.1×(Va+Vb) (wherein Va is the vol.% of the micaceous filler based on the true volume of the pellet mixture; and Vb is the vol.% of the fibrous filler based on the true density of the pellet mixture), and the obtained pellet mixture is melt-kneaded.
