Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition which contains a specific maleimide copolymer, a vinyl copolymer, a graft copolymer, a saturated polyester resin and a thermoplastic elastomer in a specific proportion, thus exhibits excellent heat resistance, shock resistance, chemical resistance, dimensional stability and coloring matter staining resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) 5-50wt.% of a maleimide copolymer containing 40-80wt.% of aromatic vinyl monomer residue, less than 25wt.% of an unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride monomer residue, 10-60wt.% of an unsaturated dicarboxylic imide derivative residue and 0-20wt.% of vinyl monomer residues, (B) 0-50wt.%, of vinyl copolymer containing 60-80wt.% of an aromatic vinyl monomer residue, 20-40wt.% of a vinyl cyanide monomer residue and 0-20wt.% of vinyl monomer residues, (C) 10-50-wt.% of a graft copolymer prepared by grafting 35-65 pts.wt. of a monomer mixture containing 50-80wt.% of an aromatic vinyl monomer, 20-40wt.% of a vinyl cyanide monomer and 0-30-wt.% of vinyl monomers onto 35-65 pts.wt. of a rubber polymer, (D) 5-23wt.% of a saturated polyester resin and (E) 3-18wt.% of an epoxy group- containing thermoplastic elastomer.
