Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition, excellent in impact resistance, molding processability and chemical resistance to strong alkaline or strong acidic detergents or toilet detergents, usable within a wide range of applications and further excellent in flame retardance.
SOLUTION: This resin composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. total amount of (A) 90-20wt.% rubber-reinforced styrene-based resin and (B) 10-80wt.% copolymer, obtained by copolymerizing a monomer component comprising an aromatic vinyl compound with a vinyl cyanide compound and, as necessary, other vinylic monomers copolymerizable therewith and having 0.5-1.0dl/g intrinsic viscosity measured in methyl ethyl ketone and 25-45wt.% content of the vinyl cyanide compound with (C) 0.1-5 pts.wt. terpolymer containing ethylene, an acrylic ester and carbon monoxide.
