Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thermosensible recording paper which is excellent in the coating suitability of a water-base coating liquid, and the printing trouble of which has been improved by a method wherein a specified specified polyacryl amide and alkyl ketene dimer are added in a pulse slurry, and also a base paper the Cob size degree of which is specified is used.
CONSTITUTION: The thermosensible recording paper is constituted by laminating an intermediate layer and thermosensible recording layer in order on one surface of a specified base paper. The specified base paper is made by adding 0.05-0.15wt.% to pulp of polyacryl amide which contains a cyclic secondary amine as a functional group, and 0.05-0.30wt.% to pulp of alkyl ketene dimer as a sizing agent in a pulp slurry. The Cob size degree conforming to JIS-P-8140 of the base paper (contact time; 10sec) is set so as to be not greater than 12g/m2. In the meantime, when an image is printed using this thermosensible recording paper, the ratio of the vertical-lateral ratio in (original image/printed image) is set so as to be not less than 0.995. By this method, the coating suitability of a water-base coating liquid and the printing trouble are improved.
