To prevent heat from being generated between paper and a laminate layer both of which constitute a support for a thermal color developing recording paper.
This thermosensitive color developing recording paper 10 comprises a cyan thermosensitive color developing layer 12, a magenta thermosensitive color developing layer 13, a yellow thermosensitive color developing layer 14 and a protecting layer 15 laminated sequentially on a support 11. In addition, the support 11 has a metal thin film layer 19 for heat diffusion with a thickness of about 0.3μm formed by vapor depositing a metal, e.g. aluminum on one of the faces of the paper 18. Further, on both faces of this metal thin film layer 19, laminate layers 21, 22 using polyethylene resin mixed with white fine powder of titanium dioxide are formed. The cyan thermosensitive color developing layer 12 is formed on the laminate layer 21 on the metal thin film layer 19 side. When thermally recording a cyan image, the heat of a thermal head reaches the laminate layer 21 passing through the cyan thermosensitive color developing layer 12. However, the heat is diffused by the metal thin film layer 19, so that it is possible to prevent the laminate layer 21 from becoming damaged or a bubble from being generated due to the damage.
