Abstract:

To improve thermal response and the preservation stability of a texture part and an image part by adding a salicylic acid derivative expressed by specific formula or a metal salt thereof and 2,4-dihydroxy-2'- methoxybenzanilide to a thermosensitive recording material containing an electron acceptive compound.

In a thermosensitive recording material containing a dye precursor and an electron acceptive compound, at least one salicylic acid derivative or metal salt thereof expressed by formula as an electron acceptive compound is added and further, 2,4-dihydroxy-2'-methoxybenzanilide is added. In the formula, X1, X2 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group or a halogen atom; R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group. Examples of this salicylic acid derivative and the metal salt thereof include 3-methyloxycarbonyl aminosalicylic acid and 3- ethyloxycarbonyl aminosalicylic acid.
