Abstract:

To provide a polyurethane resin which has scratch resistance, capability to adhere to a polyurethane foam pad, and softness to the touch and does not generate harmful substances such as dioxins when incinerated and a method for conveniently producing the same in a simple way.

This thermosetting polyurethane resin is characterized in that (1) the Shore A hardness is in the range of 50-85; (2) the flexural modulus is in the range of 8-80 (MPa); (2) the elongation is in the range of 130-600 (%); and (4) no fusion mark is observed after the resin is exposed to an atmosphere of 110°C for 1,000 h.
