Abstract:
To obtain a catalyst useful for setting a thermosetting polyurethane rubber and capable of effecting an stabilization of its quality and shortening or omitting its aging period by making the catalyst include a compound selected from among e.g. chlorides of specific metals.
This catalyst comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a chloride of metal of Co, Ni, Cr, Fe or Cu (e.g. cobalt (II) chloride), an acetyl-acetonate salt (e.g. cobalt acetylacetonate) and a sulfate (e.g. copper sulfate). The catalyst is pref. used for a setting reaction of polyurethane after preparing a predetermined mixture obtained by blending previously it with a polyurethane isocyanate.
