PURPOSE: To provide a thick belt composed of narrow-width woven fabrics each having both thickness and breaking strength, based on a given width, beyond the common sense of traditional persons skilled in the art.

CONSTITUTION: The thick belt 1 is characterized by that (1) it is composed of at least four layers of woven texture with the outer two layers 2, 3 woven in the form of a bag using a common weft 41 and the inner layers 5.6 with another weft 42 and (2) the thickness at nearly the central part of the belt width is ≥1/4 of the belt width.
