Abstract:
To provide a thick steel plate which enhances adhesion of a scale, suppresses or prevents scale peeling at the time of laser irradiation, and accordingly is useful for applying laser cutting, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A thick steel plate includes a steel plate, and a scale formed on the surface of the steel plate, wherein a density of a CuNi-concentrated part existing in an island state on the interface between the steel plate and the scale is 1.0×107 pieces/m2 or more, and thickness deviation of the scale is 10.0% or less of an average thickness of the scale. A method for manufacturing a thick steel plate includes the steps of: applying bending work with the amount of strain on the surface of a slab of 20-40% at a surface temperature of the slab in continuous casting of 1,000-1,200°C; heating the slab at a predetermined highest heating temperature in predetermined time; rolling the slab at a cumulative draft of 15% or more, then subjecting the slab to descaling by high-pressure water, setting temperature deviation in a width direction of a rolled material at 25°C or lower, and then applying additional hot-rolling; and cooling the steel plate under a predetermined condition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
