Abstract:
To provide a thick steel plate which can be favorably used for a large structure such as a bridge and a structure for construction.
In the thick steel plate, the predetermined chemical component composition is satisfied, the sol.Nb equivalent to be defined by [sol.Nb]+(93/10)×[sol.B] is in the range of 0.014-0.050, the fraction of bainite occupied in the metal structure is ≥90 area%, and the fraction of ferrite is ≤10 area%. The average crystal grain size of prior γ grains is 5-50 μm in terms of the diameter of the equivalent circle, and the 0.2% proof stress (YP) is ≥500 MPa.
