Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick steel plate capable of achieving excellent ICCGHAZ (Inter-Critically Reheated Coarse Grain Heat-Affected Zone) toughness.SOLUTION: The thick steel plate satisfies a predetermined chemical component composition and has an F value obtained by the following formula (1) of 400. In the metallographic structure of the thick steel plate in a cross section parallel to a rolling direction and a sheet thickness direction at t/4 position where t is sheet thickness, average roundness of oxide with an equivalent circle diameter of 1.5 μm or more is 1.8 or less and number density of the oxide is 200/mmor less. F value=550-1176×[C]-73×[Mn]-31×[Ni]...(1), where [C], [Mn] and [Ni] represent content of C, Mn and Ni by mass% respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: None
