Abstract:
To provide a thickness reducing press performing thickness reducing while transferring a slab.
The thickness reducing press is equipped with dies 2 provided up and down, holding the slab 1, a slider 3 provided for each die 2 and oscillating the dies 2 up and down and back and forth and a driving device driving this slider 3. The slider 3 has a main body 5 on which circular holes 6 having their center axes in the slab width direction, have been provided and cranks 7 constructed by shifting first shafts 7a and center shafts by the first shafts engaging with these circular holes 6 and second shafts with diameters smaller than those of the first shafts, and these second shafts are rotated and driven by the driving device.
