Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for measuring a thickness of the bottom of a reactor pressure vessel in real time during severe accident.SOLUTION: A thickness specifying method of a reactor pressure vessel includes: a step of creating first data showing a relationship between a first lapsed time and a thickness of the bottom; a step of creating second data showing the relationship between the gamma-ray energy from a nuclear fuel and a first counted value for each energy; a step of creating third data showing the relationship between the gamma-ray energy measuring the gamma-ray from the nuclear fuel by a gamma-ray detector 2 and a second counted value for each gamma-ray energy in the second elapsed time from a control bar insertion time point to the present time; a step of comparing the second data and the third data in the elapsed time in which the first elapsed time is equal to the second elapsed time and specifying the second data approximated to the third data; and a step of specifying the thickness of the bottom corresponding to the specified second data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
