PURPOSE: To provide a thin battery and a method for mounting the same whereby the current collecting efficiency and sealing property of the thin battery are enhanced and it is made easy to mount the thin battery to equipment and the like so that the battery can be disposed in a narrow portion of equipment.
CONSTITUTION: In a thin battery having a positive electrode active material 4, electrolyte 5 and a negative electrode active material 13 disposed between a positive collector 2 and a negative collector 9, protruding portions 6, 7, 10, 11, 19, 20 are provided in one part of the positive collector 2 and the negative collector 9. The thin battery 18, where the protruding portions 6, 7, 10, 11, 19, 20 serve as both mounting terminals and printed board connecting terminals, is secured to a series of tapes 17 at equal intervals by means of the protruding portions 19.
