Title:
THIN BATTERY PACK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3851277
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect metal plates with each other securely so that the metal plates do not break off from a frame body even if a laminated battery bulges while making the whole small and thin.
SOLUTION: A thin battery pack comprises a laminated battery 1, a first metal plate 5 laminated on the side of a first sheath film 1A of the laminated battery 1, a second metal plate 6 laminated on the side of a second sheath film 1B of the laminated battery 1, and a rectangular frame body 4 placed along the outer periphery of the laminated battery 1. The frame body 4 has a lock groove 11 extending along its periphery on its outer periphery face. A first metal plate 5 and a second metal plate 6 are folded inside along the surface of the frame body 4, to make their top peripheries folded inside toward the lock groove 11 for forming lock fold pieces 12. The first metal plate 5 and the second metal plate 6 are coupled to the frame body 4 by inserting the lock fold pieces 12 into the lock groove 11 of the frame body 4, the lock fold pieces 12 are formed on the counter sides of the first metal plate 5 and the second metal plate 6. The laminated battery 1 is housed in a case formed by the first metal plate 5, the second metal plate 6, and the frame body 4.
