Abstract:
PURPOSE:To offer the thin film magnetic head with little danger of head crash occurrence suitable for high density recording by means of low flying height. CONSTITUTION:Two thin film magnetic converting elements 2A and 2B are provided at one end side of the air flowing direction (a) of a slider 1 having air bearing faces 103 and 104. The slider 1 has a recessed groove 51 being along the air flowing direction (a) in the air bearing face 103 where role parts 211 and 231 appear only in the thin film magnetic converting element 2A within the thin film magnetic converting elements 2A and 2B.
