Title:
THIN FILM SPECULAR REFLECTION CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011138444
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a drawing means for peripheral videos imaged on a thin film surface such as laquerwear, concerning a computer graphic drawing technology.

The drawing means includes: a circuit 30 which determines a reflection vector R from a visual line vector V and an object's surface-normal N; and a circuit 31 which selects an environmental cube surface where reflection vectors cross from the reflection vector R and the object's drawing point (reflection point) P and calculates crossing points (U, V) on the selected surface image. In the environmental cube, a plurality of images 32 generated by filtering each surface are prepared, and an image 34 is selected from a VN angle. The output of the image 34 is a pixel centering (U, V), and a plurality of sets of the images are output corresponding to the plurality of images. The pixel is given to a tri-linear interpolation circuit 35 which performs linear interpolation to obtain brightness. A brightness scale circuit 36 attenuates the brightness depending on the VN angle. The brightness is given to a shader 37 in order to finally determine the brightness at the object's drawing point, and the brightness of a point P is determined.
