Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the thickness of an inductor by forming a through hole and recessed section through and on a base plate and connecting one end of the winding of an air-core sheet coil to a terminal through the through hole and recessed section.

CONSTITUTION: A through hole 20 is formed through the nearly rectangular base plate 15 of a coil holder 14 near the side face of the plate 15 and a recessed section 21 is formed from the hole 20 to a groove section 21a near a terminal 17a for mounting on the lower surface of the base plate 15. The internal terminal 11a of the winding of an air-core sheet coil 11 on the upper surface of the plate 15 is connected to a terminal 18A for mounting on the lower surface of the plate 15 through the hole 20, section 21, and groove 21a and the external terminal 11b of the coil 11 is connected to a terminal 17B for connection on the upper surface of the plate 15. As a result, the windings of the coil 11 can be formed in a state where the windings do not overlap upon another and the thickness of the winding section 16 of the coil 11 can be reduced in the protruding direction. In addition, this inductor can be reduced in thickness as a whole, because the inside end section 11a of the coil 11 is put in the recessed section on the lower surface of the plate 15.
