PURPOSE: To collect and dredge the ooze of the surface layer at a high density by providing a water stop hood around the lower end section of a vertical. screw conveyor, and preventing the inflow of the flowing water from the side or rear of the dredging direction.
CONSTITUTION: An ooze intake port 54 provided on a water stop hood 50 is directed to the dredging direction, and a dredging device is advanced while an inlet device 60 is rotated. Ooze is horizontally sheared and fluidized by an inlet cutter 63a and introduced through the ooze intake port 54 of the water stop hood 50. The ooze is introduced into a vertical screw conveyor 40 and shifted upward by the suction force generated by the rotation of the screw of the vertical screw conveyor 40. Foreign matter in the ooze is excluded while passing through the inlet cutter 63a. The infiltration of the flowing water from the side or rear of the oblong ooze intake port 54 is prevented by the water stop hood 50.
