Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system comprising a device main body solely capable of performing image forming action on recording paper which enables variation by desired combination of the device main body with each unit.
SOLUTION: A device main body 1 comprising a front wall 80, a back wall 1a, and a lower surface on which one or both of a recording paper feeding/ carrying unit 3A and a sorter unit can be stacked and disposed is composed in such a way that recording paper is included or that it can be inserted from the external, and a pass unit 2 having a guide passage 24 is detachably provided between a carry-out opening 1b opened in the back wall 1a and a carry-in opening 73a in the unit right under the device main body 1 for communicating both openings with each other. A length from the front wall 80 of the device main body 1 to the back wall 1a is set to be shorter than a length from a front wall of the unit 3A to a back wall 3a, the front wall 80 of the device main body 1 and the front wall of the unit are disposed to be positioned on the same plane, and the back wall 2a of the pass unit 2 and the back wall 3a of the unit are positioned on the same plane.
