Title:
THIN NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3544106
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of a battery characteristic by infiltration of moisture, and improve reliability by arranging a window frame-shaped thermoplastic adhesive having moisture permeability not more than a prescribed value at the normal temperature between a positive electrode current collecting body and a negative electrode current collecting body, and sealing a peripheral part of a battery by heating/adhering it so that a thickness of a sealing part is set not more than specific mm and the width/thickness ratio is set not less than a specific value.
SOLUTION: A power generation element by layering a positive electrode mix 2, a separator 3 and a negative electrode 4 composed of metallic lithium, is arranged between a positive electrode current collecting body 1 and a negative electrode current collecting body 5 of stainless steel foil also serving as a battery enclosing body. Chromate treatment is performed on a surface of the positive electrode current collecting body 1 contacting with an adhesive 6, and a surface of the negative electrode current collecting body 5 is plated with Ni, and the adhesive 6 blanked in a window frame shape is arranged between these both surfaces. In the adhesive 6, moisture permeability is set to not more than 5×106 mg.cm/mmHg/cm2/h at 25°C, and a thickness of a sealing part after being heated/adhered is set not more than 0.5 mm, and the width/thickness ratio is set not less than 2. Therefore, the degradation of a battery characteristic by infiltration of moisture is not caused, and reliability is enhanced.
