To provide a thin-plate-cushioning material made of corrugated board, which makes it possible to safely transport thin-plate-like packs such as sheets of glass accommodated in a packing corrugated board box, without damaging them.

The cushioning material having a pair of angular tubular receivers and stopper plates is folded from a sheet of corrugated board. The corrugated board has such a shape that a peripheral wall comprises a pair of side plates and a pair of end plates, and a square cylindrical receiver comprises a lower plate, a first support plate, a receiving plate, a second support plate, and an auxiliary plate sequentially and continuously provided via creases on the lower edge of a corresponding side plate. Each stopper plate is continuously provided at the upper edge of the corresponding side plate. By bending each stopper plate inside, a V-shaped space is defined. A plurality of cuts for inserting thin-plate-like packs in them are made at predetermined intervals in the stopper plates and side plates.
