PURPOSE: To provide a thin plate veneer taking-out device and a thin plate veneer taking-out method by which thin plate veneers can be taken out one by one in a first in and first out system without changing a taking-out height of the thin plate veneers.

CONSTITUTION: A veneer housing case 3 having a taking-out opening part 2 on an under surface capable of housing thin plate veneers 1 in a plurality in layers is provided. Freely movable veneer falling preventive stoppers 4 are provided to prevent falling of the thin plate veneers 1 from the taking-out opening part 2. A taking-out mechanism 5 is provided to take out the thin plate veneers 1 exposed to the taking-out opening part 2 from the taking-out opening part 2.
