Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin steel sheet which has good surface quality and has no occurrence of surface flaws such as scab flaws and sliver flaws, and a deoxidation treatment method for molten steel for obtaining the same.
SOLUTION: The thin steel sheet has a composition containing, by mass, ≤0.01% C, 0.01 to 0.5% Si, 0.05 to 0.5% Mn, ≤0.1% P, ≤0.01% S, 0.0005 to 0.01% sol.Al, 0.0003 to 0.004% Ca, 0.005 to 0.1% Ti, 0 to 0.03% Nb and 0 to 0.01% B and the balance Fe with impurities and in which Si, soluble Al, Ca, Ti and insoluble Al lie in the ranges shown in the figure 4.
