To provide a thin type display device which does not damage appearance and can cope with changes in specifications of other members for mounting at low costs.

The thin type display device such as a television set 1 is provided with a rear cover 13 for covering a part or the whole of the back 11 of the display part. The rear cover 13 is provided with a fixing means for fixing the other members (electronic equipment such as PPV terminal 2) therein, and the other members are held in a compartment part 12 formed of the back 11 and the rear cover 13. As the fixing means, screws 16 and holes therefor can be mentioned. Further, when the other member is remotely controllable electronic equipment (PPV terminal 2 or the like), an IR signal transmission cable 22a is connected to an IR signal output terminal 17 prepared on the back 11 of the television set 1, and an IR signal from a light receiving part prepared on the display side is transmitted to the electronic equipment.
