Abstract:
To provide a pipe expansion device of a thin stainless steel pipe capable of reducing frictional force of tightening, when connecting the thin stainless steel pipe to a joint by threaded engagement of a nut and the joint.SOLUTION: In a pipe expansion device 1 having a pipe expansion head 5 having a fitting-in inner hole 3 for fitting a thin stainless steel pipe 2 to the inside and a first pan type taper part 4, a pipe expansion ring 8 detachably fixed to the pipe expansion head 5 and having a fitting hole 6 for fitting the thin stainless steel pipe 2 to the inside and a second pan type taper part 7, a guide ring 9 for out-fitting the thin stainless steel pipe 2 on the inside of the fitting-in inner hole 3, a pressurization rod 11 inserted into a rod insertion hole 17 of the pipe expansion head 5 and connected to a pressurization device 10, pipe expansion rubber 12 out-fitted to the pressurization rod 11 in front of the guide ring 9 and a rubber presser part 13 formed on the pressurization rod 11 in front of the pipe expansion rubber 12, and a plurality of projection parts 8a or recessed parts 8b are distributively arranged over the whole taper surface on the taper surface of the second pan type taper part 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
