Abstract:
To provide a thiourethane resin which makes an optical material having a high refractive index, a large Abbe's number and a high heat resistance.
The resin is a composition containing (a) an iso(thio)cyanate component containing 1,3-dithiolan-4,5-diisocyanate and (b) a thiol component having a specific skeleton and containing (β) a polythiol compound having ≥2 mercapto groups. Preferably, the composition has a mole ratio of the mercapto group to the iso(thio)cyanate (SH/NCO) in the composition of ≥1.01 and ≤3.0.
