Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device for use particularly at the introduction of filling thread in loops, for variably braking threads, wires or the like to be transferred.
CONSTITUTION: A thread F passes between two brake parts which apply spring action to each other. One of the brake parts is a spring element and the other is an abutment. Either of the brake parts is movable in order to vary braking. In order to improve efficiency, the abutment is developed as a substantially cylindrical body 2. The abutment is acted on rotatably by the spring element 1 and has first partial sections 4, 5 of substantially circular cross section and a second section 6 provided with at least one reduced cross sectional part. The abutment is seated on the shaft of an electric motor which is developed as a stepping motor 9.
