Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread corrector that has a high capability of correcting a thread and eliminates the need for a technical skill, and facilitates thread correction even when correcting a corrected screw with a large pitch and a large size of the thread.SOLUTION: A thread corrector includes two pieces of thread correction blades 8 having the same shape as a screw valley of a corrected screw and having two points of the blade edge 10 of a correcting blade 9 formed on the same straight line being engaged in the screw groove of the corrected screw, and abutment means 3 for bringing it into abutment with the corrected screw and sandwiching the corrected screw between two pieces of thread correcting blades 8. The two pieces of thread correcting blades 8 are disposed so as to be turned and displaced centering on the shaft perpendicular to the central axis of the corrected screw, and thereby an angle and position where the two pieces of thread correcting blades 8 are engaged in the screw groove of the corrected screw can be conformed with the lead angle and pitch of the corrected screw. Consequently, the thread corrector is characterized in that the broken thread can be corrected by rotating the corrected screw or the thread corrector 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
