Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a fastening element optimum in material lead-out resistance, maintaining small thread forming resistance and suppressing stress concentration caused by notch effect at a transition part between a thread root part and a flank, to a minimum.

CONSTITUTION: Thread cross sectiond describes a curve with at least four different curvatures near the combined thread root part 12 of two segments 11 close to the thread root part.
