Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate setting of the threading length of a pipe and the like by detecting torque when a clamp member clamps the pipe while detecting the pipe diameter on the basis of the stopping position of the clamp member to set threading length on the basis of the pipe diameter.
CONSTITUTION: A pipe P is clamped by depressing start button S2 to drive a clamp drive motor 20 and the clamping motion is then stopped by the action of a trque limiter 22. Next, the diameter of the pipe P is detected by a pipe diameter detecting means a drive motor 36 is driven on the basis of the detected pipe diameter to rotate a threading length setting section 34 until a predetermined set pin 43 gets opposed to an opposed pin 48 at the body side. A spindle 2 is shifted in the direction C as soon as the spindle 2 is pivoted by a spindle driving motor 3 and the threading is adapted to start from the tip of the pipe P by a die head to stop of the shift of the spindle 2 and stop the threading when the set pin 43 abuts against the opposed pin 48.
