To provide a three-dimensional base isolation device allowing a designer to complete design of the whole device by designing strength of a horizontal base isolation mechanism and strength of a vertical base isolation mechanism independently and separately from each other without taking the affect of load bending moment acting on the vertical base isolation mechanism into account.
This three-dimensional base isolation device 1 is installed between an upper structural body 100 and a lower structural body 120 arranged across a gap below the upper structural body by opposing to the upper structural body and achieves base isolation effect for vibration in the horizontal and vertical directions of the upper structural body. This device 1 includes a support member 2 arranged in the gap and having high rigidity, the vertical base isolation mechanism 30 arranged and fixed between an upper face of the support member and the upper structural body, and the horizontal base isolation mechanism 50 arranged and fixed between a lower face of the support member and the lower structural body.
