Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional color moving image which is reduced in the number of picture elements. CONSTITUTION:The three-dimensional display device consists of plural display devices 101 for parallax image projection, projection lenses 102 corresponding to the display devices 101, a lens plate 103, a retroreflective screen 105 which is placed on the rear focus plane of the lens plate 103, and a conversion optical system. The display devices 101 for projection are used for multiple projection to obtain the effect which reduces the burden of the number of picture elements on each device. Further, a parallax image is automatically positioned on the screen 105, so a projection display image is only projected on the lens plate 103 and no absolute position precision is required. Further, plural pieces of display information are put together and recognized, so picture elements in a matrix shape are inconspicuous and a feeling of quality is superior. For a display signal, a parallax image which is required before need not be generated by spatial sampling and composition. A continuous three-dimensional visual field is secured and even projection display devices which are wide in interval can be employed.
