Abstract:

To provide a three-dimensional image display device that allows a viewer to easily perceive a three-dimensional image by changing a pop-out amount of the three-dimensional image as appropriate.

A three-dimensional image display device for displaying a three-dimensional image comprises: a timer unit for setting and measuring a predetermined time in which a pop-out amount of the three-dimensional image is changed; a pop-out amount change method memory for storing time-dependent change information on the pop-out amount in the predetermined time; a pop-out amount control unit for producing the pop-out amount in each unit time based on a parallax amount between plural images, the predetermined time, and the time-dependent change information; a changed image producing unit for producing a predetermined number of pairs of pop-out amount changed images from the plural images according to the pop-out amount in each unit time; a three-dimensional image producing unit for producing respective corresponding pop-out amount changed three-dimensional images; and a display control unit for displaying the pop-out amount changed three-dimensional images on a display. Thereby, the above-described problem is solved.
