To provide a three-dimensional imaging device which automatically optimizes disparity between right and left eye images.
In a phase-difference CCD, object images pass through areas which have prespecified different directions in a single photographing optical system, and are pupil divided and formed as images. The monocular three-dimensional imaging device acquires main and sub images where the object images passing through the areas are photoelectrically converted and have a phase difference. In the monocular three-dimensional imaging device, when a shutter button is half-pushed, an object distance within a photographing viewing angle is calculated (step S14), and then an aperture F value is determined so that the amount of disparity of main and sub images becomes a specified amount in accordance with the object distance (step S16). When a shutter button is fully pushed, photographing is performed under a photographing condition including the determined F value (step S22).
