Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent dust, etc., suspended in air from sticking on a reference block and to accurately measure a body to be measured by providing a cover device which protects the reference point block. CONSTITUTION:The body W to be measured is measured by setting the origin of the measurement by reference point blocks 50A and 50B and the moving the moving means 20 and 23 almost horizontally and almost perpendicularly while making a detector 28 abuts on the body W to be measured. Then the blocks 50A and 50B which set the origin of the measurement are surrounded with cover devices 40A and 40B which are provided so that they can freely be opened and closed, so they are normally covered with the devices 40A and 40B and exposed to the outside only when the origin is set. Consequently, dust, etc., suspended in air is prevented from sticking, the origin of the measurement accurately is set, and the body W to be measured accurately is measured.
