Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize vibrations of a house caused by earthquake by contributing to strengthen the rigidity of a building frame and also arranging damping walls having interior finish members, absorbing earthquake energy to a three- storied house.
SOLUTION: In a construction of a building frame 1 for the three-storied house, damping walls W1 interposed with oil dampers 16 at the joints with beams, damper walls W5 connecting truss frames 41 through the oil dampers 16 and further damper walls W5 having also the effects as bearing walls with earthquake-resisting members such as built-in braces 54 or the like are arranged and distributed.
