PURPOSE: To obtain a three-way valve, permitting the switching of flow passages with a simple structure, having shutoff property so sure that fluid will never be stagnated in a circuit and capable of regulating the flow rate of the fluid, by a method wherein a valve for moving a valve disc, abutting against a heating valve seat and a cooling valve seat respectively, between both valve seats, is provided.
CONSTITUTION: A heating tube 2, having a heating valve seat 2a opposed to a cooling valve seat 1a, is fixed to a valve main body 1 while a valve 3 for moving a valve disc 5 and switching flow passages is fixed at the opposing side of the heating tube 2 so as to be liquid-tight with respect to the outside of the valve main body 1. The valve disc 5 is arranged between the cooling valve seat 1a and the heating valve seat 2a and is fixed to a spring receiver 6 fixed to a ball 7. In such a three-way valve, a cooling flow passage, in which the fluid flows from an inlet tube 1b into a cooling tube 1c through a cooling valve seat 1a, is formed under a condition that the valve disc 5 is abutted against the heating valves seat 2a. On the other hand, a heating flow passage, in which fluid flows from the inlet tube 1b into a heating tube 2 through a heating valve seat 2a, is formed under a condition that the valve disc 5 is abutted against the cooling valve seat 1a.
