PURPOSE: To provide a three wheeled vehicle allotting steering and driving functions to front and rear axles.

CONSTITUTION: This three wheeled vehicle 10 has two front wheels 16 and one rear wheel 28 and is of the front-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering type. A new steering link mechanism 24 permits steering with directional responsiveness to steering inputs which is similar to those of the prior art, although the three wheeled vehicle 10 is of the rear-wheel steering type. A rear axle assembly 62 achieves both steering and a suspension of the spring-shock absorber type without complicating an arrangement. In a first embodiment, a body covers the front of the vehicle and stretches across both of the front wheels, and in a second embodiment the body surrounds approximately the entire vehicle.
