In the threshing apparatus having a middle plate 3 in the vicinity of the end part of a threshing cylinder 1 in a state approximately perpendicular to the threshing cylinder in a threshing chamber 2, the space between the middle plate 3 and the threshing cylinder 1 is made wide at the bottom of the threshing chamber 2 and narrow at the side part. In the part with a narrow space between the threshing cylinder 1 and the middle plate 3, an overlap margin Q between threshing teeth 4 and the middle plate 3 is made wider than a space R between the peripheral surface of the threshing cylinder 1 and the edge of the middle plate 3 and in the part with a wide space between the threshing cylinder 1 and the middle plate 3, an overlap margin P between the threshing teeth 4 and the middle plate 3 is made narrower than a space S between the peripheral surface of the threshing cylinder 1 and the edge of the middle plate 3.
