Abstract:
PURPOSE:To set a proper threshold value by calculating (i) kinds of threshold values, which minimizes the sum V of the sums of the squares of the residues of the quantity mj (j=1-i) of (i) (>=2) kinds of output data exceeding a temporary threshold value and the total qj of exceeding quantities, from a specific equation. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel 4 in a ladle 2 is injected into a mold 7 through a tundish 5 and a stopper 6. At this time, the level 8 of the molten steel in the mold 7 is detected by a level gauge 9. Further, the drawing speed of the molten steel drawn out of the mold 7 is detected by a speed indicator 15. Further, an opening extent meter 14 detects the opening extent of the stopper 6. A data processing part 11 sets the temporary threshold value according to the output value D1 of the opening extent meter 14, the output value D2 of the level gauge 9, and the output value D3 of the speed indicator 15 which are sampled and stored in a data sampling part 10 within a specific time. Then the temporary threshold value is varied to calculate (i) kinds of threshold value, which minimize the sum V of sums of squares of the residues of the quantity mj of (i) kinds of output data exceeding the temporary threshold value and the total qj of exceeding quantities, from the equation.
