To aim at optimization of throttle control by judging excessively large target driving force in the case of repetition of acceleration/deceleration.
The target driving power of a vehicle is calculated from an accelerator opening degree and a vehicle speed (a). On the basis of the target driving power, a target engine torque is calculated (b) and based upon this result, a target throttle opening degree is calculated (c) so as to drive a throttle valve (d). Thereby, a repetitive frequency of acceleration operation and deceleration operation, more concretely, generation frequency of brake operation within a preset period of time from the previous accelerator operation is detected (e) and when the frequency is large, presence of low torque necessary condition is judged (f) and the target driving power is corrected to its reduction side (g).
