To simplify assembly, mounting, and calibration, in a throttle valve assembly for driving a motor.
A throttle valve assembly 10 is provided with a DC motor assembled as a subassembly 14 and calibrated, and after the subassembly 14 is mounted on a throttle body 12, a throttle plate 20 is mounted. A rotor 42 forms a magnetic pole and an air gap is provided between the rotor and stators 44 and 46 in a housing 30. The housing 30 and the stators 44 and 46 are assembled on a shaft 16 and a rotor 42 and mounted on a cover 32 to form the motor assembly 14. The shaft 16 is inserted in the bearing of the throttle body 12 and the subassembly 14 is fastened against the throttle body 12 by a fastening tool 68 inserted in the cover 32. The throttle plate 20 is mounted on the throttle 22 of the shaft 16 through the intake passage 18 of the throttle body 12.
