PURPOSE: To absorb voltage surge and high voltage pulse suitable for small sized device with high reliability, by combining a cylindrical element having the properties of a capacitor and a varistor with a ferrite bead.

CONSTITUTION: A through-terminal 2 incorporated with a sheath 4 is passed through the center of an outer terminal 1 of stepped cylindrical shape. A cylindrical ferrite bead 5 is inserted to this through-terminal, electrodes 8A, 8B are provided at the inner and outer circumferences of a varistor porcelain 7 further outside the bead, and a cylindrical element 6 having the properties of a varistor and a capacitor is inserted. The electrode 8A is led out to the end of the varistor porcelain 7 and soldered to the sheath 4, and another end of the element 6 is fixed with an eyelet 9 inserted to the terminal 2, and the electrode 8B is soldered to the inner surface of the outer terminal 1.
