To prevent the leakage of excrement on a front surface sheet from around the waist by forming this front surface sheet of plural sheets arranged in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of a throw-away diaper and adhering the plural sheets on the surface of an absorber.
This throw-away diaper is formed by arranging the absorber 3 between the liquid permeable front surface sheet 1 and a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 2. The front surface sheet consists of the plural sheets arranged in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the throw-away diaper. The plural sheets 1 are formed by adhering the side edges 17 existing on the outer side around the parts 16 in contact with the hip part of the throw-away diaper with adhesive parts at the surface of the absorber 3. Further, free edges 5 are formed by parting the side edges 18 existing on the inner side of the throw-away diaper from the surface of the absorber 3. Pleats are formed by these free edges 5 in the parts where the plural adjacent sheets overlap on each other.
